In order to meet our commitment to patient and staff safety, we have changed our booking procedures. You will be asked screening questions at the time of booking, on your reminder e-mail and prior to having the entrance door opened for you. This is to make sure that we are minimizing risk for everyone. We ask that you attend alone as any attendants will also be required to be screened for COVID-19. All Intake forms will be done on-line so please complete these PRIOR to your first appointment.
The front entrance is presently for Physiotherapy Clinic patients only. Our staff will unlock the door for your appointment. You may remain in your car until just before your appointment as we need to adhere to numbers of people allowed in the clinic. Please leave all personal belongings in your car ie. Jacket, purse, water bottle etc
At the door you will see a STOP sign with COVID -19 questions. Please read and answer the questions. Call the front desk at 604-464-6333 to let them know that you have arrived for your appointment. At this time, you will be asked again about your COVID-19 screening answers and directed accordingly. For the safety of staff and patients we will not be able to admit any one with any COVID-19 symptoms.
A staff member will then come to the door to let you in for your appointment. Masks are mandatory. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MASK if you have one so that we can reduce use of scarce PPE. We will provide one for you if needed. You will next be directed to have hand sanitizing observed and be advised on proper mask wear and use.
Following this, you will be escorted to the waiting room where you will notice that chairs have been removed and there is an X for you to stand on. Your therapist or our friendly office staff, all wearing masks, will come to take you into your treatment room. Treatment times have been adjusted to accommodate less patients in the clinic at one time and more one on one therapist time. The therapist will practice safe hand hygiene and and physical distancing as able. You will notice a change in the fee schedule to reflect this one to one care model.
At the end of your appointment you are asked to follow physical distancing guidelines to proceed to the front desk where you can book appointments and make payment. Payment can be made electronically through our Jane payments or contact-less tap machine. All receipts will be e-mailed, printed copies will not be provided to minimize contact wherever possible.
You will be asked to re- sanitize your hands prior to leaving from the same door that you entered.
Please come prepared to not have access to the washroom. It will be for emergency use only as it requires sanitizing after each visit.
Behind the scene cleaning and policies
We want to make sure you feel that you are entering a safe and comfortable environment for your treatment. The safety of you, your family members and our staff is our number one priority. Treatment beds and any contact surfaces will be thoroughly disinfected with products recommended by Health Canada following each treatment or contact. Staff are also screened for any COVID-19 symptoms prior to arriving for work and will stay home if sick. Anyone else entering the clinic is screened with their name and contact information documented for any necessary contact tracing.
Virtual Tele-Rehab will continue to be offered for anyone that should not be attending the clinic or prefers treatment from their home.
One day life will return to normal, yet for now we must all do our part to keep the virus from spreading. Thank you for your patience and your support – we will work hard to continue to help you feel better and keep active!
